The UF Lastinger Center for Learning is the administrator of the state of Florida’s Early Childhood System. Created in partnership with the Florida Department of Education’s Division of Early Learning, this online early childhood course provides practical teaching strategies, is standards-aligned and mastery-based.
Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms is an online, asynchronous course made up of five cycles designed for participants to:
Use their own lesson plans to implement and reflect on new strategies
Review case-study examples of real classrooms
Encourage the use of critical thinking skills
Incorporate feedback into classroom instruction
Eligible educators will earn a completion stipend of $125 and 1.0 IACET CEUs/10 professional learning hours for the Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms course.
The Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms course is free and currently only offered to VPK Providers on Probabtion in Florida. State funding determines course seat availability. Course seats are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
